TrailNote is most useful when every contribution gives the next traveller one practical thing they can actually use.
Good contributions
What you paid, saw, used, or learned yourself.
Freshness helps the next traveller judge the information.
A route, fare, room type, useful contact, or practical warning.
Update your own tip when something you shared needs correcting. If another traveller's information has changed, report what you observed.
What doesn't belong on TrailNote
TrailNote is not a promotional listing directory.
Do not repost text or images from elsewhere.
Do not publish personal numbers or sensitive details.
Keep contributions about useful travel information.
When information changes
If it's your tip, edit it to correct or update what you originally shared. Traveller confirmations given before the edit won't carry over to the updated information.
If you notice that another traveller's tip has changed, use Report a change. Your observation is added separately without replacing the original traveller's tip.
How moderation works
Report content that is spam, inaccurate, unsafe, or exposes private information. Reports go to a private moderator queue and do not automatically remove a traveller tip.
